Container Haulage

Container Haulage in Trinidad and Tobago

20ft and 40ft containers collected, delivered and returned island-wide — backed by 201 chassis trailers and a fleet kept on the road by our own workshop.

Capacity is the whole job

A container sitting at the port is a container costing money. Demurrage and storage charges start the moment your free days run out, and the usual reason a box does not move is simple: the haulier has no chassis free.

That is the problem we built the fleet around. Ramtrans runs 201 chassis trailers — 57 rated for 20ft boxes and 144 for 40ft — pulled by MAN TGX and TGA tractor units. When you call with a 40ft container that needs collecting, we are not juggling one trailer between three customers.

We have been doing this from the same Curepe yard since 1999. The trucks you see on the road are maintained in our own workshop, not sent out and hoped for. That is why our equipment looks the way it does, and it is the reason a booking made on Monday is a truck that turns up on Monday.

How It Works

From Booking to Empty Return

01

Tell us the job

Container size, where it is, where it needs to go, and when. Call or send the details through the contact form.

02

We confirm and collect

We assign the right chassis and tractor unit, confirm your slot, and collect the container.

03

Delivery and return

Delivered to your site for stripping or stuffing, then the empty goes back — so the box is off your hands.

Where we run

Our yard sits at Spring Village, Valsayn East, Curepe — on the East-West Corridor, minutes from the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway. That puts Port of Spain, the airport at Piarco, and the run south toward Chaguanas and Couva all within easy reach.

We cover Trinidad island-wide: the corridor from Port of Spain through San Juan, Curepe, Tunapuna, Arima and Trincity; the central belt through Chaguanas and Couva; and south to San Fernando and the industrial estates.

If your site is tight, tell us when you book. Knowing in advance whether a 40ft rig can actually turn in your yard saves everyone a wasted trip.
